North of the Border Taco Meat

1 pound lean ground beef
½ cup diced onion
1 cup Chavie's North of the Border Salsa (Mild, Medium, or Hot)
½ cup tomato sauce
½ tsp. Tabasco brand Chipotle sauce
¼ tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
¼ tsp. granulated garlic
¼ tsp. salt


Procedure
Sauté ground beef with onions until fully cooked. Drain fat. Combine remaining ingredients with browned ground beef and onions and simmer 15 minutes until thickened. For milder taco meat, use Chavie’s North of the Border “mild”.

This recipe serves 4 as tacos or burritos.
